(Pano Panagia, Greek: Πάνω Παναγιά) is a village in Cyprus, located at an altitude of 800 meters in the Troodos mountain range, northeast of the city of Paphos.
A small, pleasant village, quiet and picturesque, with an especially beautiful view from the mountain. Do I even need to mention the fresh air? )
It’s great to wander around the local hills above the vineyards, climb up to the observation deck, and then descend to relax in a local café (one of them, though I don’t remember exactly which one, is in the center and serves freshly baked bread cooked over coals—mmm…)
From here, I recommend heading to the local reservoir — Kannaviou Dam, another amazing spot. For some reason, it immediately reminded me of one of the episodes from “Medal of Honor,” a game I played about 10 years ago. The atmosphere is very similar.
I’ve heard that in previous years the water level was higher than in the photo.
